Meet the Teachers

On a professional note - All the teachers have taught at CATS and other stitching events across the country including Spirit of Cross Stitch, Silver Threads, Threads of Time, National Cross Stitch Show (Rockome). EGA, ANG, and other guilds as well as needlework shops. Several of the teachers have also been invited to judge needlework shows.

On a personal note - All the teachers are married and have children of varying ages and in various stages of life. They represent the states of Arkansas, Indiana, Ohio, and Oregon. Obviously, they all love needlework!

Pat Hartman - Pat has been designing and teaching for a number of years under the name Creative Reflections. Her specialties (and favorite types of needlework) are Bargello, four-way Bargello, and Hardanger. Needlepoint specialty stitches are also among her favorites. Her portion of the design reflects her favorites!

Mary Knapp - Mary is an internationally known teacher, designer, and artist. She gives instruction in four-way Bargello using specialty threads, Hardanger, Brazilian embroidery, specialty stitches on linen, and traditional hooking. Mary also designs and teaches under the name Creative Reflections.

Linda Reinmiller - As a teacher Linda has set a goal of inspiring the creative process in her students while maintaining a class atmosphere of fun and fellowship. Her classes give students the opportunity to express their creativity through choices in color, thread, and design element placement. She has always stressed two things in her classes - everyone is creative and needlework is supposed to be fun!

Debbie Rowley - Debbie got into designing by "compromising the integrity of the design" - i.e. changing colors, stitches, etc. She has been designing for several years but selling her designs as DebBee's Designs for the past 2½ years. Her favorite activity is stitching with the local cross stitch club, which meets every week for stitching and gossiping.

Jackie Murawski - Jackie teaches and designs under the name Sam-Cloth Designs - a 16th century British word for a sampler. She started out strictly with samplers but quickly included canvas work so she could do even more specialty/creative stitches. She loves whitework and the ability to show off fibers and stitches. However, she encourages her students to change colors to suit themselves.
